A department store Santa claims he is the real Kris Kringle causing doubts and hopes. Eventually, his case and cause gets taken all the way to the US Federal Court and a little girl’s belief makes the difference in the ‘miracle.’ With live Foley effects and a score of holiday carols, Miracle on 34th St. is a beloved perennial musical that will melt even the most cynical of hearts.
First opening in 1986, Oregon Cabaret Theatre has steadily grown and in recent years has 'upped their game'! Annually OTC presents more than 270 performances of 5 shows in a season (early February through December 31). As well as mounting crowd pleasing favorites they create their own original shows.
OCT has become well-established as an Ashland attraction in its own right. OCT always has had loyal local patrons, in the last few year savvy visitors come just for the Cabaret shows.
Set in a beautifully renovated church in downtown Ashland (easy walking distance from the Chanticleer Inn B&B) the theater has 140 seats and serves a tasty pre-show dinner. One can enjoy the show without dining, but you still can order dessert served during the intermission.
Stephen Sondheim’s Gothic, Tony Award-winning masterpiece tells the story of Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, who returns to 19th century London seeking vengeance on the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, whose fortunes rise when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up.

The ultimate celebration of 1960s female empowerment, Beehive recalls the days of miniskirts, transistor radios, and flower power. Told from the perspective of six young women who came of age in this enigmatic decade, now taking a look back on a host of issues ranging from their first Beehive Dance to the challenges we faced as a nation.
Featuring music from Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield, including such timeless classics as “My Boyfriend’s Back”, “Be My Baby”, “Son of a Preacher Man”, and “Me and Bobby McGee”.
Were it a movie, Beehive would be rated PG, with only very mild references to drug culture, alcohol and violence in some of the songs.
