Ellen looks forward to sharing her home with you at the Chanticleer Inn in Ashland. Ellen and the wonderful B&B staff strive to provide a welcoming, restful, quiet, and fun-filled atmosphere.
For 18 years, Ellen has been the mistress of the oldest continuing Ashland Bed and Breakfast. Every year has been a joy to host and befriend the visitors to the Chanticleer Inn.
Apart from managing the Chanticleer, she tries to find time to play tennis, pickle ball (yes it's a thing), write, attend yoga classes, hike, bird, and attend the myriad performances and lectures. Recently, she has become a certified Master Natural Historian. Of course, many afternoons during the spring and summer Ellen spends much of her time tending the Chanticleer Inn garden. Ellen is also active in Stay Ashland Network.
Before being an innkeeper, Ellen was a product marketing manager in the Silicon Valley. Ashland’s relaxed quality of life, the unique culture, the arts, and surrounding natural beauty, are the main reasons for selecting to live in southern Oregon. Ellen finds much joy in continually learning about this diverse area of the country.
In the Spring of 2016, Ellen published her second cookbook. For more details about the cookbook, please visit the cookbook webpage to find out about: Recipes Are Like Pearls … lovely, but not useful until strung together
