“I was truly impressed. We were both amazed with the homemade meals - it was really like eating at a 5 star restaurant. The menu was hearty, tasty, and customized to dietary restrictions while also being completely off-the-charts-creative. Well done! The location of the Chanticleer was perfect for us - close to downtown yet in the heart of a quaint residential neighborhood. We loved the view from our room, The Fleur, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall a great stay- highly recommend!”

“I loved my stay at the Chanticleer Inn. The room was perfect. Just outside the door were the lovely gardens with a variety of cozy places to sit and enjoy a conversation or a good book. The breakfasts were great with vegan meals prepared specially for me. The Inn is in a quiet neighborhood yet only a couple of short blocks to the heart of downtown Ashland and then 10 minutes (unless you stop to check out the interesting shops) to the Shakespeare Festival. I’ll be back next year.”

“This place is amazing! We stayed in an upstairs unit, and the view of the mountains in the morning was lovely! The room was a nice size, it was very clean and the host was very accommodating in every respect. “We have visited Ashland for many years, each time staying at the Chanticleer Inn. We come twice a year to enjoy the ambience of Ashland, the Shakespeare Festival plays, and our home away from home at Chanticleer. Our last visit was the week of April 22, 2019, and it was delightful as always. Chanticleer is an elegant inn, beautifully decorated and maintained, with an innkeeper and staff dedicated to friendly service, and with imaginative and delicious breakfasts. Its location is ideal -- located in a quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance of the theaters, downtown, and the many fine restaurants in Ashland. We recommend it highly as a cozy B&B with interesting and companionable guests.”
